Wild Plants and Vine

      Come discover a Familial Domain, which goes back 8 generations… After a walk in the vineyard to learn about and find the wild plants that naturally grow there, you will be introduced to the various types of agriculture practiced in the region.

Once back at the Domain you will explore the cellar and its secrets when it comes to the winemaking itself. We will then show you our ancestors’ treasured room: (a baker’s oven, an old fashion smoker, and an alembic or still, all of them walled within the house.

We will round up the visit with a cocktail hour – the French Apéro – where you will sample hors d’oeuvres made from the local wild plants and a tasting of 3 wines from the same grape varieties but made in different ways (no sulfites- Grand Cru – Cépage wine)!

Meet us daily at the Domain in Gertwiller during the Summer season from May to September 2022 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, (dates TBD)

     Nestled at the heart of the Domain, just above the labelling room, our Great Room is the place for gatherings, whether for business or pleasure. The room can sit 45 people in a charming and traditional setting. Wedding, parties, birthdays, conferences or other, it can be tailored to your needs. The courtyard right outside can be used for outdoor dining, and we can provide around 10 big tables « brasserie style ». There is a direct access to a fully equipped kitchen, whether for a catered event or if you are cooking on the premises. We also propose different meal options with wine included.

The Great Room is at the top of steps and is not adapted to people with reduced mobility.

The Gites, our rental apartments

     At the back of the Courtyard you will find two traditional Alsatian houses which have been entirely renovated and now offer our rental apartments, for a true immersive experience. Our gites are at the heart of the Alsatian Vineyard, half-way between the cities of Colmar (birthplace of Bartholdi) and Strasbourg, and 6km from Obernai. The perfect place to stay and explore Alsace like the locals.

For the thrill-seekers and the young ones, Europa-Park, the biggest theme park in Europe, is only 1h away.
